I got a nifty gift from my sweet wife today. It came a bit late but hey it'll be put to good use. An old soldier needs a little frag every now and then. It came empty so I had to fill it and I chose Pendleton whiskey.....now to just pull the pin! And you know, sometimes ship building needs just a little push.....

Haha…back in the late 70’s in Oz we could buy 250millilitre stubbies of beer that came with a ring pull top. We called them throw downs or hand grenades….I like your version much better

When I was stationed in Japan - 1966-1968 - you could buy Black Label beer in an 11 ounce bottle we called the 'grenade bottle' but was actually supposed to be a miniature keg....the thing is, it was 11 OUNCES, not 12 like everybody else's!

When I was in, we had the M26 frag (smooth outside and had a compressed fragmented spring inside for lethality). The old M2 'pineapple' was out..... ah.....those old Army days....but lucky me! 3 tours in Korea kept me out of Viet Nam!

Reminds me of od movies when the sodier pulled the pin with his teeth. Let me tell you, those cotter pins are hard to pull with your hands! Poor teeth.......
