Bluejacket Shipworks Lobster Boat 5/8” = 1’

Many thanks for this interesting log - Congratulation
And off course I am also looking forward to see the new one - good choice

First try working with InkJet Decals:

I've never tried making my own decals. I ordered a packet of Testors clear and white decal paper for use with my HP Officejet Printer.

The process was pretty simple. I made a Pages document on my iMac of the image I wanted on the decals.

After printing the decal page I let the OfficeJet ink dry overnight and fixed the decal with decal bonder.

After soaking the decals they separated from the backing paper and I transferred them to the Lobster boat hull.

Another modeling process learned.

Nice. One of my favorite working boats. Many, many years ago I built what if I remember correctly was a Mid West version and radio controlled it. Needless to say after years of abuse, I retired the ole gal. I have looked at this kit numerous time and have to admit, yours turned out swell. Thanks for shairing.

Thanks for posting this....I am beginning this very kit. "Karoline, Biddeford Maine" will be a gift for my daughter's home.
Very nice idea - I am looking forward to see also your model if possible

You're doing a great job, Pathfinder. Photos of actual boats in use are great, but there are huge variations in design. I have a photo of a "left-handed" lobster boat; it has the hoist pulley on the port side along with the wheel and all the controls. Apparently built by (or for) a left-handed lobster man.
Your kit is looking great! There is no end to possible stumbling blocks, but your careful attention and determination will prevail.
Best wishes.
Steven
