I've just spent some time reading all thru the posts. And a couple of things get my attention:
1. This history and the research members have put into it and posted here for all to learn and appreciate.
2. The level of detail that seems to be held onto, to not be forgotten.
2. I think we sometimes forget that the Bluenose was a hard-working ship, and when we look at the historical images posted here, you see her true soul compared to the pictures and condition of the Bluenose II in her prim and proper condition with her decks well looked after, brightwork and paintwork all tidily.
Bluenose II is a source of pride in Nova Scotian history in craftmanship of ship building that has become a Canadian icon known around the world.
I really enjoyed reading this sub forum, thank you for building and contributing to it for all who take the time to read it.
