I came across These books on Project Gutenberg, they are free to download at www.gutenberg.org Ancient and Modern Ships, Part 1: Wooden Sailing Ships by Holmes, and The Pioneer Steamship Savannah: A Study for a Scale Model by Howard Irving Chapelle.

Yes, I use them a lot. Fantastic site, but I know of very few who actually look at it.

I have read several dozen books from Project Gutenberg. Numerous old historical books on many subjects that would be considered rare if sourced on paper and completely free. They have apps for IOS and Android.
