Brad bit drills

I got them from a company called timberbits .I'll show more when they arrive cheers snowy
 
They look like this. The concave tip causes them to resist the tendency for the bit to pull the material up the flutes as the bit goes through the bottom of the material in particular. They also tend to want to wander less when your starting the hole in softer slicker materials because the point sticks in the material. I've machined a lot of Nylon and Acetal (Delrin) chassis plates for RC Rock Crawlers and they work great on those materials. Particularly drilling holes in thin sheets. I've not used them on wood, so I will leave that up to others to comment on.
