I am considering the Russian Brig Mercury. How did you find the instructions? Were they only in Russian? Or was the pictorial booklet complete.

Hello Dave. There are few kits of Brig Mercury. The one above is the Amati kit on a scale of 1:64.

Another wooden kit from the Russian manufacturer Eskadra in scale 1:72 (very popular scale for Russian manufactures)

Cardboard model from Shipyard 1:72

Hi Jimsky

I am looking at the 1:64 scale model. Are English instructions included? How do you find the copper plates provided? Are there plans and templets for sails?
Thankyou for any information you can provide.

Dave

Hello Dave, I don't have either kit or build models from them. I suspect an English instruction, It is Amaty\Vanguard kit. Here is I found one build log from Igor, It may give you some ideas.

Yes, I built according to the drawings from Amati. I ordered it on the official website. The language in the instructions is English and Italian. There are all the patterns of the frame parts, all the photo etching, patterns of sails I do not remember whether there is.
