It’s been a minute since I posted. Work continues. I’ll try to get some pictures taken tonight. I’m working on the Bowsprit today. Looking ahead at the rigging: it looks like J26 starts off at the block. This is a single block and the hole isn’t big enough to be threaded twice. How is this tied off at the block start point?

I tied it off around the base of the block, ran it to the end of the yard, and then back through the block before tying it off at J26. Don't know if that is right but it worked for me.
I know it is kit mistake, not yours, but FWIW and for the future, if it matters, British galleons did not have belaying pins until the middle of the 18th century.OcCre missteps on this often.

Yes, as well as on cleats, knightheads, cavel cleats, cavel blocks, timberheads and kevels. When pins were introduced on small British warships in the 18th century, they were only found on racks tied to the shrouds. Sometime later in the 18th century, pins were used on racks bolted to the bulwarks and on the bitts.Great information. I had no idea. Did they just tie off on the railing?
