I like to attach a temporary wooden batten along the keel to enable the use of my keel clamp.
Holes are drilled through the hull at the points marked for the stand and glue nuts in place using epoxy. The same nuts will be used for mounting the finished model on it's stand.

Thank you Shane. I will keep you posted as I proceed. I'm not the fastest builder on the planet due to things like work etc. but will post as I progress. I also want to take my time on this and do a good job as it is my favourite British battleship.
I know what you mean. Between wife, three sons, two dogs, two kittens, two parakeets, a Japanese fighting fish and a leopard gecko, I squeeze in modeling.
Thats a great ship. Pity she didn't survive to be a museum ship.
Totally agree. Britain has a very poor record for saving ships be it merchant or warship.
