I came to model boat building as a way to pass time during lockdown and started with mantua 1/200 victory and at the moment i am half way through building an old hachette magazine titanic purchased on eBay not making a good job on either but when i spotted the Pandora kit i could not resist it

nothing is glued at the moment they seem to be very accurate up to now

An interesting way of designing the center keel, deck and bulkheads.

I have fitted the frames still no glue the structure is very rigid

The frames are now glued and the planking is started

What is supposed to be done with the bow and stern for planking, looks like your only planking the middle of the ship at this point.

The bow and stern have resin parts and you plank over with the second layer

i have finished the planking it is a bit rough but a bit of filler should sort it i have also fitted the 3D printed bow and stern parts these needed a bit of sanding before fitting

As a 75 year old beginner i picked this kit as the printed parts should give me a fighting chance on the second planking when i get there

The Belle Poule kit from Sail and Sail has these 3D resin parts at the bow and stern and works out very well.

This is the latest. I have some information that Zoltan shared with me. All of the Frames have a protrusion that fits into a square opening FOR EACH FRAME. Of which are used mainly for alignment purposes. When the Frame sits down on the jig with the Peg correctly, the BACKSIDE ARCH of the...
