Hi Snowy. I am not sure what you are going to do with honey and blender on the sails:

but I have build exactly the same F14 kit:

Jokes apart (talking about blender and honey LOL), this project is very nice to watch and coming along pretty well. Congrats!

Hey valmiki
The tomcat is actually a metal diecast .I got her about 12 years ago
Cheers snowy

Hi all
Happy new year
Hope everyone had a great break
Been a busy time with a month off to sew the outer thread and put sail on yards .
I've got 2 to do then it will be time to put them on the masts and start rigging

Let the fun begin
Cheers snowy

You are correct everyone loves a Tomcat.
From what I see this diecast is really well done.
I have done mine 3 years ago after a 15 years doing nothing. It is a 1:144 and I have deliberately added a few details. Pity that without a case I keep breaking the tip and after fixing it a few times glue got it messy. So my next project is to create a display case for my small projects and then will fix all these problems.

Wow! They are really awesome. Looking forward to see them on.

Hi all
Cheers valmiki I'm on my last one now tying to the yards .
Hopefully by next week I'll have some pictures of sail on ship .
Happy new year to all and happy modelling.
Ps: great work on the tomcat.
She really stands out ,it would be great if you could put her on a rotating stand in glass.
Cheers snowy

Hi all it has begun.
I start putting the sail on with their internal ropes and tie them down. The external can wait.
Now I'm going to to the shrouds without the ratlines ,then the backs
.start from lower on each and work my way up .
Cheers snowy

Thanks guys
I'm working away at the moment so I'll only get one day per week .
Ouch , just when I really want to get involved into the sequence of things
All good happy modelling
Cheers snowy

Sorry for the belated reply Snowy. Lately I have been too busy with work.
About the rotating stand I think it is a great idea ... as a matter of fact I already have it ... LOL!
But I have another Tomcat a curious shape:

I definitely have to build a protective case for this part of my desk... too much dust.
In reality I purchased this stand for another project I have never started. First I have to get proficient with the air-brush ... ahahahah

P.S. Your project is looking more and more awesome. Congrats.
