Building Model Ships from Scratch

I bought this book years ago, and I am surprised it is not more popular. IMHO, t is the best "how to" around. Sure, some of it is a bit dated, but it provides a lot of useful instruction. It emphasizes how to do something instead of giving a lot of pictures of what was done. Very good for the new scratch builder or for someone who wants to heavily modify a kit.
 
This book helped me get my start in modeling many, many years ago. Looking at the cover photo brought back memories, especially the sideburns, mustache, and haircut so typical of the 70's.
