The top section of the beakhead on this model consists of a simple ladder frame with four athwartship timbers and two longitudinal side pieces. The side pieces must be bent quite severely when the frame is constructed and fitted to the model. After several glue failures, I found that pegging the butt joints with small (0.5 mm) dowels solved the problem. A dab of stain and they virtually disappear. Probably obvious but may assist other modelers in this construction.
