At 71 years young, I've just bought myself a second-hand Rc Clyde Puffer to try and relive the total boredom of retirement!! I have decided to also to make a CAD model of the Puffer, I have some experience with CAD but none with Lofting or Surface modeling. I have a rather rubbishy set of plans for a "Lockinvar" Clyde Puffer which I have duly chopped up and placed in the respective X,Y and Z planes. I have made a couple of attempts at Lofting some profiles but maybe someone would be so kind as to suggest what the "correct" steps from my base drawings would be.
Thanks,
Steve

Look at FreeCad, it's totally free and comparable with the likes of Solidworks and AutoCad. Plus there are tons of beginners courses on YouTube including lofts and surfaces
