During sailing a longer turn, the anchors were not connected to the anchor cable, so the anchor cable were completely stored in the hatch. With this it was possible to close the hawse holes like Jim mentioned.
When we look at your situation - lifting the anchor - the gap between the hawse hole and tha cable was normal
