I think she carried at least three different chain sizes as her anchor sizes/types were 27-3/4cwt, stream anchor of 8-3/4cwt and two kedge anchors (I could not find the weight of these.) I have no idea how to calculate the chain size but hopefully someone here will have a formula for sizing the chain to the anchor weight plus the pull of the ship in normal or perhaps extreme anchoring conditions.
