After building the M109A2 presentation piece for my late friend , word got round about it and I was asked to build this for a ex member of the Royal Tank Regiment, as a been in the Royal Artillery most of my models are M107, M109A2, M110A2 , AS90, 25 Pdr and 17/25 Pdr .( A 17 pdr gun barrel on a 25 Pdr gun carriage) so a Chieftain Tank was something different to build and this is the finished model.

Thank you sir for your service. What a cool way to build. I have never thought to do like this. Like you, or should I say your friend. I served in the Armored arm of the US Army. My Office during my young adult days. Made memories I shall never forget. What’s next Brother.

Maybe another M107, M109A2 or a Centurion Mk 5 , from your picture I would say your 'Office ' was a M60 . We saw some of these during "Reforger 78"
Reforger…..now you talking. I served on the following tracks.
M48…training NG Ft. Drum NY
M151 Shank…Op Four
M60A1….Armored Cavalry
M60A1 Rise…Armored Cavalry
M60A3….Armor School Instructor
I was leaving the service when the Abrams was coming into service.
I was stationed in Bamberg FRG and our sister unit was M109’s…..Red Legs.
