A library in Berkeley, California is showing their collection of period Clipper ship sailing advertisements, and they are pretty darn neat. A dozen or so are on the web at:

These were also collected in a book with a miniscule press run, "By sail for San Francisco : clipper ship sailing cards in The Bancroft Library" by David Pettus. Tangential modeling content, but these give a lot of period flavor.

Thanks so much pebbleworm. I have many of these in my collection and many I just added...thanks so much.

That's great!

Thanks for posting, Pebbleworm. I live not far from there and will have to make a trip to see the exhibit. In the meantime. I 'm sure others in the area would be interested and probably haven't heard about it. I'll pass the word.

Thanks again :D
