Properly sewn sails make a proper historic sailing ship. Build your model with historically correct sails, which we offer not only for most plastic models of all manufacturers, but also for many wooden model kits. And we sew custom sails as well. You can see our offer HERE:

We sew the sails from very fine canvas, 100% cotton 125 g/m2, white and natural colours. The appearance of your model will be incomparably more realistic than with plastic sails from the kit.

Your model will get sails corresponding to maritime customs. We pay attention to the differences between continental and English regulations for sewing sails. We use documents from the French Naval Museum - ANCRE and English regulations from the Historic Naval Ships Association - HNSA.

The sails fit the model exactly. Our high quality sails include details such as curved edges, reef bands, top lining, potential prints and other elements present on the respective sails.
In our gallery you can see examples of models built with our sails.

Thats a great service. The manufacturers supplied sails in some kits can look a bit thick and chunky.

Yes we know that in most kits the canvas for the sails is coarse. Not very suitable for sail making. We were aware of this when choosing the right canvas for our sails. Although we have used fine cotton canvas in the past we purchased an even higher quality canvas this fall. The canvas has been industrially prewashed. Above all, it is woven quite evenly. The surface is smooth with a minimum of protruding hairs.
