Cold-Bend™ hardwood.... An absolutely fascinating way to prepare wood for extreme bending... Not sure we could or need to use it in our hobby at smaller scales... But interesting nonetheless. The wood is super-steamed in an autoclave and then longitudinally compressed to ~75% of its original length. The wood is compressed at the cellular level like one of those bendable hospital straws and as long as it is kept wet retains incredible bendability...
