Construction U-552 Type VIIc Trumpeter 1:48 [ COMPLETED BUILD ]

I have the set of Photo Etched parts from RCSUBS.CZ
as well as the 3D printed print hull bulkhead for the forward torpedoes.
Everything is just perfect and the fit is exceptional. This set, while expensive, is a lot better than Eduard's and allows the discerning modeller to put together a submarine that really looks like a Type VIIc prototype.
Front and rear decks:

Also drilled the small floodholes, and drilled floodholes at the gun gates, in preparation for the PE parts.

The material is about 3 mm thick, and extremely hard, which is nice to prevent breaking, but more filing is

drilled 2 mm (in the middle) and then auctioned outwards.

The hull, without a turret, consists of three different components. The stern of the hull, including the deck, is a single transparent part, the rest of the hull consists of two halves, the deck already being part of the port half.

In itself a nice fact, however, the transparent parts are not so transparent so that the interior can see when everything is ready, in addition, there are ugly spots to see from the cutting dies that you can remove without seeing, this also applies to the stern part. consists of a whole.,

Bakboord syringes and starboard transparent show I found no option, in addition, there will soon be PE parts on the transparent rear fuselage section positioned

This is solved in another way

Have you had the Photo Etched parts from RCSUBS.CZ for awhile?
I tried but was unable to find a source.

The set came from the Czech Republic in 10 days .

If you want to order it, send an email to RCSUBS < rcsubs@seznam.cz > and address it to Oto.

Customer service is perfect.

I ordered them in October last year.

They've had a lot of Covid issues there and started taking orders again.

There are two round "lids" in front of and behind the tower.

These are neither manholes nor lids for ready-to-use ammunition containers, as I have often read, but container lids for Marck's inflatable liferafts. These lids were hung swinging from their articulated arms.

Both hinge arms were removed by me, a difficult job to remove only the hinges without touching the lid.
The narrower and vulnerable deck parts, for this I placed the PE decks dryfit, and sprayed with a black primer to mark the flood holes

And we are coming to an end with this delicate phase of the construction

After confirming PE parts, this already gives a completely different face. One

of the errors in the kit is that all flood holes are straight,

The Rcsubs has solved this by applying the curves
