Construction U-552 Type VIIc Trumpeter 1:48 [ COMPLETED BUILD ]

In my boxes with rubbers, rubbers were found, which one fits the nut, and the rubber has been filed and the tube sawn to size
Never throw anything away! Store in nice little boxes and stack them up again in a cupboard. Pandora's Box. :)
A nice solution to carry through the wiring. And you know best which wire goes where. :)

Hello Henk, Very nice detail work you are doing here, just love all of that fine detail that you are adding. I do have a question and that is where did you get all of those great figurines in the 1:48 scale.
Regards Lawrence

Hi Laurence,
There are 36 figures included in the kit, with an additional 36 spare which you can put together in different combinations (head, torso arms and legs)

In addition, all lights have been definitively attached.
For the outer side,
port and starboard Ix red, 1x green
and 1x white light in
front of the openwork part 1x white, yellowish light

Trumpeter's transfers broke in all directions and there was nothing to do with this

Decided to put the Das Boot logo on it

The Flak Gun of 20 mm. That specific weapon was used to fight against air crafts, whereas the 88mm deck gun was used to attack nearby boats and ships. U-552 was an early Type VII-c and as such only had the single 20 mm MG151 gun. Later submarines, would see their Flak gun doubled and the platform to operate them, was also increased in size.

Trumpeter implementation of the FLAK gun is not too bad and a definitive effort went into the meshing used to collect used ammunition.

The main gun is next.

Fortunately, RCSubs comes to the rescue with plenty of details. However, finding the parts and understanding how to place them requires some serious thought and looking at the real gun in photos which are mostly blurry and faded by the sun and salt.
Here are the instructions from RCSubs

Those instructions are Greekl to me Henk. Petje af to you for understanding and making sense of that!
