Greetings. I am new to the group and new to building wooden ships. I recently purchased a couple models. I bought the Harvey and the River Queen. The River Queen looked 'simpler' for a beginer so here i go. I have the keel section built and i am ready to start my first ever planking. My question is, although the instructions show 'hull planking' in the parts list, there are several different size and clolors of planking in the kit. Can someone that has built this kit tell me which bundle of strips if for 'hull planking' and which if for the 'deck planking'? I am assuming that the largest bundle, which is the lightest color, is for the hull and might also be for the deck. it measures aprox. 1/32 X 3/16. Any help or direction here would be greatly appreciated!
