I'm slowly building up the courage to copper the hull of the American Clipper from Model Shipways. It's a task I have never done. I've looked at a few youtube videos on this subject but still have a couple of questions.
1. Do you cut the copper roll into individual plates and then apply or can you apply a small strip? Is there a preferred method?
2. What type of glue is used to apply the copper to wood? I assume it's CA.

Well I haven't done it yet myself, but from other posts, the first answer is yes, both methods can be used.

A lot depends on shape of hull where your applying copper.

As for glue, most use thick or medium CA to allow time to adjust.

Some use contact cement or PVA.
