I am considering a sailing ship (Essex whaler or USS Essex kit) with one side planked and other side open with below decks compartments. Looking for help where to get below deck plans and if anyone has done this with a kit and how you managed bulkheads

Probably would be better idea to scratch build these ships ,the kits are not designed for the open interiors.

You might consider the Artensia Latina Bounty kit. It has a complete interior.
