D-Day Diorama

The only thing that detracted from the pseudo reality was the water "explosion". I would have used that artificial cotton wool, would have had a more realistic look.
 
I agree it kind of looked like a snow covered tree limbs when I first saw it. I use resin to create water splashes. Some of the best ways to see whats happening in a splash or explosion in water is to video it happening and break the video down to frames there are a bunch of programs that will help with that. for me the explosion just didn't look real, but then water effects aren't very easy to recreate most times.
 
Great diorama! I don't know when this dio was made but there has been a lot of work done recently on how to do more realistic explosions. Bjorn Jacobsen has become a master at this with his aircraft dioramas.
