Pure artistry Herman! Welcome back and congratulations on gaining a son-in-law and new grandchild. My condolences on the loss of your father-in-law.
Thank you Russ for the compliments, congratulations and condolences. Family life kept me busy.

Awesome, as usual!

Great to have you back building, after all the celebrations in your family and condolences on your Father-in-law.

I particularly like the scuppers extending slightly, both for looks and functionality. Most photos of Navy Board models built in the 18th century do not include the scuppers. This photo appears to show one toward the bow that extends slightly...

Thank you Brad.
My method for extending these scuppers may not be historically accurate, but they do add a special touch to the model I like.
The scuppers of the lower gundeck extended anyway because a cloth shaped like a trunk was attached around them to prevent water from flowing back in. I'll be installing those scuppers soon.

Herman, my dear friend
I will join to all our friends in the blessings at your return to building your beautiful model!
I wish you and your family as much joy as possible, Congratulations to the daughters on the joyful events, on the grandson and the home.

It is good to be back Steef.
I am now working on the scuppers for the gundeck and the wooden board behind which the riflemen found some protection. No idea what the english name would be for that board.
In Dutch we call that "verschansing"? I believe in English is It Bulwark
