Decals

The reason the "Eagle Strike" decals are so expensive, is they are rarer than hens-teeth... also it's Canadian dollars, so 30% less in USD.
Eagle Strike? Eagle Strike's1/48 scale (https://www.eagle-editions.com) decals range from $15 - $30, (American) and in the 237 pages of offerings, ES does not make any for C-47s. If you want to build Mustangs, Focke-Wulfs, Messerschmidts, P-47s, or B-25s, you can build a whole, fleet (squadron) of those. They are very nicely detailed decals but no help to me for my C-47. If one wants decals for modern, post WWII aircraft, one will need to look elsewhere as well. I get and have gotten decals for almost all my aircraft (23 now and 2 more coming) from Sprue Brothers.

You may be correct but then...I'll never know
Hello Sir, I believe you would have had as much chance of finding life on Mars as finding Invasion stripes on a C-47 flying over the jungles of south east Asia in 1945 and my money would be on the Martians!

Eagle Strike 48238

That's the one linked above, hence my comment.

LEM Decals did make decals for the C-47/DC-3 for Buffalo Airways, and others, but those are even more rare.

In social platforms, it is often difficult to sense if someone is being politely sarcastic with well meaning attributes. However, it’s best to get to know your friends and who can be joking with and who not, while others may not understand the gist of the comments even though it might seem harmless. Also, when faced with something you might took offense to, sometimes it’s best to let it go. So let’s just be neutral.
Peace to all.
