Deck pump

There are many variations of the pump. They differed from the design and\or methods of sucking water. As Brian mentioned in the above posts, it would be impossible to help without details like what is the ship and the era this ship existes. Just a couple examples what do we mean

There are at least two Lady Nelson's ship: a two-masted brig passenger (1799) and H.M. Cutter Lady Nelson (1800), which one you are building?

Here they are
Very interesting and unusual pump construction. Commonly, on the elm tree pump, the 'spear' connects to the end of the break (handle) and not the cheek, like in your image. While such a pump will work, it will be unproductive, and using this pump will be 'hell of the job' ;) It is a very small amplitude to pump the water.

I put the pumps together wrong, this is how they go

I am wondering if anyone has tried electricians side cutters for plank bending. I tried an experiment this morning I put 2 planks back to back as we usually bend 2 one for each side, it seemed to work, but I just did a trial run as my planking is done
