Hello all esteemed builders!
I have been reading this blog site for three days now prepping an ambitious peep diorama project. My fiance loves One Piece so I figured I'd make him his favorite ship from the show. As a pirate princess myself I feel I right otta have a ship. I couldn't afford the ones I saw in shops but always admired them. So when he wanted one I was all in. Only to find they were all plastic and lacked texture of materials. It was not like buying the ship of my dreams. So to combine these I am going to make his favorite ship from the show Oro Jackson, Gol.D.Roger's ship.
As cost and time are both an issue I'll be doing my best with paper cardboard and whatever else I can get my hands on. I do worry that as this is a build from a show that it doesn't deserve to be on this site with all these amazing realistic builds, but as there might be others like me who want to walk that line between real and fantasy I hope my adventure will be helpful!
I'll provide more details on the build and my early concerns (how do I take a cartoon with no size measurements and turn it into the a ship big enough for the peeps but still looks nice in my small apartment?) once I finish reading though the starting blogs of where to post.
I already started drawing out the Oro Jackson and took down every picture from the manga, anime, and toys. (I'm looking at you railing near the end of the Oden part of the Wano arc where they are standing three deep on what is air from other angles >.> ) to have fun figuring out what to build.
Looking forward to my first build! Maybe I'll make myself a fleet of One Piece Ships! Haha
