I've been thinking about this. Its s great idea, but I have only a general domestic garage dust extractor/vacuum cleaner. It very good to extract the dust from the current tool that I'm using, but it wouldn't have enough suction to vacuum my tool's dust and the this base plate.
I got this vacuum because its automatically turn on and off when I need dust to be vacuum away.
I have to wait to get a bigger extractor to do this fantastic idea.

Hi All.on the A stupid question,,,Mico-Mark has a DOWNDRAFT TABLE, I am wodering if these tables are meant to be worked on and not off table say like 5or 6 feet away. Thankd Don Farr
Hello Don,the downdraft table from Micro Mark is for soldering and very small for woodworks .
