Finally, he began to build a drakar.Set by Pavel Nikitin, scale 1:25.I started with the slipways. The convergence is good. I was slightly sharpening some details with a file.I have assembled and glued all the frames. I made a selection on them - a comb for lining the belt. Glued the keel. There is a small jamb on it, a manufacturer's flaw. The risks on the pins are applied only on one side. Moreover, the line of the first sheathing board on the keel is applied from different sides, since the keel consists of three parts. The locks connecting these parts do not allow you to swap the bow and stern parts of the keel. Although, to tell the truth, they are symmetrical. On the frames, I glued the retaining rails under the deck deck, which will fit between the upper protruding parts of the frames. I treated the protruding, visible parts of the frames, such as bars, from carbon deposits. So I glued it all together.
The construction of the drakar continues. But now I want to complain about the manufacturer of the kit. During the construction, shoals begin to grow. I came across different widths of the 11 parts of the cladding belt. The bow and stern parts of the part 11 are narrower than the width of the central parts. Now, because of this, there is a gap between the 10 and 11 belts of the skin.
0 Next, detail number 12 is the lining belt. It has cutouts for oars. According to the drawing, they have a slope towards the stern of the drakar. I glued the central parts of the 12 belts properly. In the stern, other parts of the belt also have a slope, but in the bow of the dragon, the cutouts already have another incorrect slope. I don't know how to deal with it now. Moreover, the right part of the 12 belt in the stern has a thickening for mounting the steering oar. So there is no part in the set to form this thickening. Not from the word at all! And the detail that is does not fit with the 12 belt itself. By aligning it in silhouette, we see a discrepancy in the neckline.
Another surprise from Pavel. That's how you can create a project and then sell your product, claiming that this is the most correct model? It's a complete disappointment from the set. Now 13 more belts are made through one place. It doesn't fit in with the drawing in any way. And again the slats are of different widths.
From the remains of the frames, I cut out new slats of 13 parts. I glued them. I decided to go for a stain in the color of stained oak. I painted the 2 upper belts and the inner side of the sides with visible parts of the frames. Couldn't resist the temptation, inserted shields. So far, so good.
Another riddle from Pavel. A blank for the mast is given. According to the drawing, it is shorter. Moreover, when giving it a round shape, the diameter will be smaller than in the drawing. The tip of the mast has nothing to do with the drawing at all. It does not show the groove for the pulley. Here is a "super set": безумный:Большой палец вниз. The work on the ship's hull has been completed. I would like to know whose model is depicted on the kit box. There are several parts that are not in the set. I would also like to see a photo of this model.
I want to show you what I got out of this set. the model is almost ready. I made a pedestal. covered with skin under the scales of a dragon. The keel blocks need to be replaced. added racks under the yard, additional shields. knits near the mast pole. This was not the case in the first version of the model kit. I had to do everything myself. made 6 spears. What's left is a cauldron with a tripod. the sail was painted in red and white stripes. I applied a stencil of the drawing.
