Hi folks,

This is aimed primarily at the folks in the UK as it will be costly to buy from abroad.
I am currently building the Artesania Latina Sopwith Camel WW2 biplane and AL supply .25mm fishing line as the cross bracing that goes between the bulkheads. This aircraft has all its insides showing ie. No canvas covering ( see attached photo ).
I was told by others who have already built it that the fishing line is not suitable. I have tried using it and discovered the previous builders are right. They used other stuff they already had in place of it.
I bought a roll of Amati .25mm black rope but having made off one small section I found it became slack after a few days.
Therefore I am hoping someone can come up with something of similar size ie .25 or slightly above, is black in colour and is stretchy, so that it retains its tension.
Obviously as I said at the beginning I need to purchase it from a UK supplier.

Can anyone help please ?

Hi Dennis, Try some of the shops/sites that supply lycra thread for model railway telegraph lines. I use it for modern / (ww2), ship rigging. it comes in a very dark brown and various dia. Looks a great kit.

All the best JJ..
