Ok my new friends I need to figure out how this site works. As a long time member on the now gone MSW starting and posting updates on a new build log was a routine I mastered long ago. I tried to look at a couple tutorials but am still a little fuzzy.
So for example let’s say I want to start a new build log under wooden ships. How do I do that? I am not going to try posting the 9 old builds I have finished on MSW but would like to do a quick synopsis of my current Amerigo Vespucci build and then continue progress reporting.
Hi Bill, Posting a build log is easier than it looks — let me walk you through it.
From the main page, scroll down until you see the forum sections. You'll notice different categories to choose from — the darker shaded bar is the section title, and below it are the individual forums that fall under this particular category.
From there, just pick the forum that best fits your needs, and you'll have the option to either start a new thread or jump into an existing one.

To start a build log for your current project, go to the
“Ships of Scale Build Logs” section. From there, choose the category that best matches your model type and medium.
For example, if you’re building
Amerigo Vespucci from a wooden kit, the
“SoS Build Logs from Kits – Wood” section would be the right place.
Once you’re in the correct section, look for the
“Post Thread” button on the right-hand side. Click it—this will open the page where you can create your new build log.
Give your log a clear and meaningful title, ideally including the ship’s name, scale, and kit manufacturer (if applicable). Then you can start writing your build log.
To add images, simply drag and drop them from your computer into the text area—they’ll upload automatically where you place them.
This Build Log Section is for Wood Ships. Enter your Build Log here. It is advisable for others to follow your Build Log to start your post such as "Build Log: HMS Ship name"
