On the drawings I've seen that show the fixed blocks there is one set in the bulwarks on the quarterdeck. I think they are for the main braces(please correct me) and are somewhere aft of the mizzen mast. On the Discovery1789 because of the modifications to the quarterdeck (the deck was raised) there are no bulwarks. The deck is more or less flush with the rail. Do you know what they would do with the fixed block? Maybe bolt it to the top of the rail or use a normal block connected to an eyebolt through the deck? Any thoughts please.
