French ship cannons, 36pdr, 1779 [COMPLETED BUILD]

Hallo Karl,

I am very happy, that you started already your next interesting project.

A 36pdr is a very big gun, also when you see and make it as a model in 1:12 -> 26 cm length !!!!
- this will be very interesting to all the details you will add - I am sure!

Fine and accurate work - I guess it is a pleasure to work in this big scale, so much more details can be made.
F.e. I did not know, that the bolts were secured with a "Splint" .... usually this detail is to small in 1:48.
Did you paint the wales?
My friend - very good work

Nery nicely done start to finish and that includes the finishing stain and paint. If you can access a metal lathe, perhaps at a close by machine shop, with some enticements, you can turn a metal barrel bored for firing. Just decide upon a caliber that you can get round shot for from a local black powder shop. Firing my own at the local gun range is a blast as I also measure the shot point from where I was aiming. No personal responsibility taken for any activities associated with such cannon firing. Rich (PT-2)
