Yep, I've moved around a lot (14 times) before I retired from my wildlife management career,
My first "big" build was when I was in Missouri. It was the Harvey Schooner and it took me 180 hours to build in 1994. before I left Missouri I bought a Mantua HMS Victory kit and a Sovereign of the Seas kit. They have been sitting on a shelf for 29 years! I did get a little into the Victory about 27-28 years ago. Stopped at the point the first layer of planking was to begin.
At 70 I dug out the Harvey and repaired some damage to the bow from a fall the ship suffered a few years ago. Took me 4-5 days. Now I have the Victory on a table to work on as I recover from knee replacement surgery this winter. My favorite part of a build is the rigging. My least favorite is the hull planking.

Welcome Bowwild. I’m also in Kentucky and slowly plugging away at my latest - Occre’s Bounty.

Either of you Kentuckians do any noodling? Tried it when we lived in Paducah back in the 70s. Strange but fun and exciting sport! For those who have no idea what noodling for catfish is, the picture below is better than words. That is NOT me in the photo. I never had that much luck.

Never did noodling. I’ve seen it on tv, but I don’t think I would ever stick my bare are into an underwater hole trying to find a fish bigger than my head
