I think that might be it, Grant. But not everyone who’s done this boat has run into the same issue. But it’s working out okay.
It’s the Incredible Hull! It was incredible how long it took me to make it. Now I need to install the partial frames, and then I can sand it and shellac it. I’ll give it a good shellacking.

Looks like you have some burns on the inside of the bow planks. Is that from your plank bender?

Actually, I don't have a plank bender. I used a soldering iron. That area will be covered by a deck above, a slat deck running the length of the boat, and ballast.Looks like you have some burns on the inside of the bow planks. Is that from your plank bender?

I placed the frames a little closer together in the middle because it needs more support there to keep from imploding. 
Measuring the stringers. 
I scorched some of my frames using the soldering iron. Later I found that soaking the frames for a day and bending them with my finger worked better with no scorching and no breaking of frames.
Great observation, Vic, also if you want to avoid waiting for a day, you can put the material under HOT water and try bending with your fingers little by little. Yet another method is a steam box.
Making a pulley for the sheave in the mast to pull up the yard. I’m using a spare gun carriage wheel from the Soleil Royal and filing a groove along the edge.
Pardon the dirty fingernails. I was out playing disc golf with my brother-in-law earlier and it was a bit muddy.
The hole needs to be a bit bigger.

Your soldering iron appears to have heat controls - did you try turning it down a bit? I found I needed to re-wet the wood when the heat dried it out. You can't burn wet wood.
