Gjoa, Constructo 1:100, my first model [COMPLETED BUILD]

Hallo,
good that you started your building log here in this area - very well made for your first ship model Thumbsup

You wrote in your title text "Occre", but I guess it would be correct, that the kit is from "Constructo" , or?

One comment to the bowsprit.

The chains are fixing the bowsprit in place and are necessary to take over the forces from the sail and mast -> therefore these chains should be shown strait (under tension)
I borrowed one photo from Olivers building log to show what I mean

Thanks i just noticed the error on the chains, still i hope to fix that problem, the Gjoa is from Constructo but i have on my bookshelf a bucaneer from OcCre which i hope to start at the end of the gjoa i would as well thank you for the pictures on the gjoa

So as far i'm going i noticed the chains as above Uwek said to me (still have to fix them think i gonna cut the chain where it's attached in a side then put in the right way) and today i noticed i missed two holes in the deck where i have to hang some rope, i finished the lower and upper sails and i just tide it to the main pole,
i will send a photo hope soon with everything finished

Hello Maurizio - welcome on SOS. You did a very good job for a first model. @Uwek is a very experienced modeler with a vast general knowledge, so it is great that he has offered you some advice. Please keep the photos coming.

Hello after short time doing the sails, i did them after arguing with the model and the instructions like a old couple :)
I seen other mistakes but they gave me the opportunity to understand where to fix the project before it goes bad way (luckly i fix the errors) i tried to make the ropes as the pictures of Oliver but are quite hard for me (i found a way where i use a pencil to wrap the rope over the pencil then a drop of glue and after 3 or 4 minutes (at least before it came solidified )take it off and posed at the upper deck (maybe as well there a little drop of glue)
I noticed the rope of the model of Oliver and i saw are like plastified i must to get it for the next model and as well i noticed (this on amazon and in my model store in town) the wood items such as single block for examples are better if you buy them out the box (if you wanna spend a lot of money more)
Any way those are the photos for now hope in the next days to go further and finishing this model

Is used cyanacrylate to glue the ropes but this is not a good idea because on clear ropes you will see the discoloration. Its better to use clear nitro- cellulose lacquer.
Maybe water/Pva works as well.
To change the ropes, the deadeyes and the blocks is a important step to get a better model. The material in the kit is what you paid for. Not the best.

Hello all,
it just happended... my cat destroy my model now i have to rebuild all the ropes and a part of the upper deck (are 32 passages to rebuild) plus to get all the new material i must go in town which is not behind the corner :(
well i post my pictures of where i get (just the little sails left the three triangles).
My idea is to let this job behind (the gjoa)and start another new one when i arrive with the new one at the ropes i could do the ropes of the new one and as well the gjoa.
Hope is clear, my idea i post the pictures of the boot where i arrived and the box of the new one,if someone has any other idea on mine please i appreciate for a good beginning
