Gjoa, Northwest passage sloop under restoration in 2012

The Gjoa's museum had not been built or its restoration completed in 2012. My first model of the Gjoa from an old Model Shipways kit is shown.

Sadly San Francisco did not treat the ship well when it was here. One article said the name is pronounced "Joe"- can a Norwegian speaker confirm this?
