Granado section - CAF Models

Good Day All

After reading some trully great posts here from Uwek and Stan167, just wanted to share my work on the CAF Granado section.

Some minor mistakes in the kit, already mentioned by previous builds. Had to disasemble and remake no 14 due to a xerox bad misalignment.

So far pretty satisfied, this is my first wooden kit

Great to see another Granado section model in a building log - for me it was a very interesting project and I had a lot of fun building this model.
In my opinion one of the best on the market.
I will be very happy to follow your progress. And I can state, that you are really on a good way, especially when it is your first wooden model.
Bravo - only one frame missing

Finished grosso modo the frames with a nail electric sander. After I applied a technique stolen from my dentist: colored the frames, in order not to miss any spots when sanding.

Inside sanding almost completed. Started nailing the frames following the plans that Uwek presented during his awesome build. Starboard side only

Good idea with the use of some color pencil paint before sanding - at the end you fingertips will tell you, if your sanding job was successful

Nails were imitated using 0.6 mm brass wire. Next step will be sanding each ribs front and back, and finally attaching them to the keel

After you complete and fit the sections, it's pretty straightforward. Cheers

Riders dry fitted. Copied Uwek's nailing method, unfortunatelly some small splint has to be fixed. Created a small base also. Cheers!
