Great Republic 1853, 1/128 Extreme Clipper Barque by Rwiederrich [COMPLETED BUILD]

Very interesting excursion in the history and design of this very special ship - Many thanks for sharing these info and your conclusions

I think I am going to rethink my stunsail design and fabrication. It has been pointed out that in most cases the stunsail boom was slung from underneath the yard....allowing the men better access to the sail and jackstay from top the yard....making furling of the sail far easier.
However, this was not always the case and these booms were also stored on top or slightly aft of the top of the yard...such as I have done.

Much pondering and thought has led me to alter the booms configuration and location...not to mention the *redo* of the hardware.
