I just thought i would introduce myself, I am an avid but chaotic modeller living on the delightfully quiet and historic island of Menorca, Ill build anything, but mainly ships, though as a retired automotive designer I tend to avoid cars as they give a strong whiff of work.
I currently have two larger nautical projects on the boil, both about as different as you can get, a scratchbuilt 1/200 carrier, HMS Victorious, as she was when I was christened onboard her in 1962, and a French Xebec from 1750, which started out as a kit (about 1/50 scale I think) by Aeropiccola that I bought in the 1980´s but has now developed a life of its own as I found more and more little problems. I enjoy both types of modelling and tend to alternate between the two every few months !
Anyway, thank you for accepting me within your ranks, I look forward to getting to know you all better in the future !
Cheers
David
