Hello my name is Matthias and I am from Germany. I am just getting into the subject of wooden model ships. The first model I bought was the Albatros from Occre. As I'm running into a few difficulties with the second planking, I'll probably start a thread about it. The experienced members here will certainly be able to help me. Regarding the planking, whether plank on bulkhead, plank on frame, single layer, or second layer, OcCre does not show how planks were laid on a ship. There are tutorials on line for how to plank a ship model properly and there are many discussions here at SoS, but only if this is important to YOU. The following is part one of 4 parts. It can be applied to single layer or double layer planking.
