Hi name is Fred ex Royal Navy submariner.
Been Marine modelling for some years .
Built a wacking Type VII U boat and was building a home brew ballast system but it all got a bit complicated so sold the boat.
Built an Imara tug then decided to have a go at scratch build.
Two date I have scratch built half a Anteo tug when I was given the boat as a wreck the hull was in bits and had no superstructure.
Managed to get the plans for this tug so built another from keel up (complete scratch built with my variations.)
I even built a 6 channel radio as the controller so I could claim as the lot as being scratch built.
I have to admit the boat and controller haven't yet been basin tested !!
Acquired a Ulises tug that aga.in some one had a go at building, badly and not complete, so again stripped it down and in the throes of rebuilding it to my plans.
Planking is my nemsis a difficult thing for me at least to master.
Anyway nice to be here happy modelling
