I'm currently in the process of making a model of the Grimsby class sloop HMAS Swan for my father (his father served on it in WWII).
At the moment I'm just 3D modelling ready to 3D print. I've included an image of my progress below. Being new to this, I'm discovering that detail takes a lot of time.
After this model is completed, I might try another. Not sure what to do yet. Maybe a similar ship, or perhaps a sailing ship. I'd really love to have a model of a famous sailing ship involved in exploration like the HMS Endeavour, HMS Beagle or HMS Investigator (I come form southern Australia).
