Have you guys ever tried the following:

I cut a 1/4 inch wide groove (a dado) and 1/8 inch deep in a building board. The braces for the stem and stern are to follow. The keel has zero room to move. Mine had a slight twist in it and after 3 days upon inspection it is as straight as can be. I’ve never tried this before but early on it looks like a feasible idea.

This is an idea that I will need to remember for future builds. Wonderful!
