Thank you my friend
Hallo @Maksym KHi All.
Decided to post my build of H.M.S. Granado by Victory Models. The kit was purchased many years ago and gathered dust at different stages of construction.
The main reasons for these delays were the instructions and the lack of building logs for this specific kit. This is my first ship kit, and despite some experience in plastic scale model building, it was challenging to progress.
I believe that the overall kit quality is good, except for the 2 mm walnut plywood that splits into parts when cutting.
The Tanganika timber strips where to thin 0.5 mm , it was hard to glue black paper to them. It was also hard to find the thin paper for this porpoise:
During the build I found "The Anatomy Of The Ship" and decided to add some detail improvements to deck planking:
I had some complications with Caldercraft mat lacquer that I tried to use. For the hull exterior, I opted for "Flood" outdoor wood oils. They have a few nice colors, so I also used them to paint the masts.
Some other photos of current progres
Thank you Uwe
