Hold Area:

The forward area of the model contains storage rooms and the powder room on a platform located just above the keelson. The lower deck clamps and lower deck beams 6 and 8 were installed where the fore the fore and aft bulkheads are defining the power room area. This set of photos shows the progress on the framing for the platform and walls. A few design changes are shown on the preliminary hold drawing for the platform framing.

This is the second time today I saw hanging knee (I hope this is the correct term) with bolt imitation pre-made before actually mounting in place. Great job, Mike. Keep post your progress often.

Thanks Jim, they are hanging knees and required a bit of trimming at the deck clamp. I will try to post more often.

The basic framing for the powder room is finished I will be working on the walls next. The doors to the powder storage area were also added. This is a few progress photos.

I did not like the way the pine planking looked so I removed it and used mahogany. When I made the wall details, I forgot to add the notch for the lower beam, I used some card stock for templates. I added a little finish to the storage rooms to see if there was any improvement, I think there was some. This is a few progress photos.
