I've working (slowly) on the keel and hawse assembly and have found it challenging. There are essentially no instructions and the graphics that come with the kit are little help. I find myself flitting and refitting the stem assembly to make sure I'm doing it correctly. Following the work that Wang did on the Blandford in 2022 has been helpful. I also got the Blandford Anatomy of the Ship and that too is helpful. I appreciate the input from everyone else in this thread.
Hmmm…need a whee bit more info…what model and maybe a photo or two of the trouble spot…hang in there…

Hi Shipmates. I see this post like me is aging a bit but on the subject of Hawse holes, pipes I found a useful inserts were brass lace eyelets used for boots shoes etc. I know that co bless are as rare as hens teeth now’a’days but they are around where theses eyelets are pretty cheap. Hope it helps.
