Hello to everyone from Bedford, UK.
I'd always liked the idea of making a model ship from wood, but my first attempt on Jokita's HMS Pickle around 14 odd years was abandoned fairly quickly. I just couldn't get my head around the shape of the hull and how to fair it properly. Happily, many years later my second attempt, Vanguard Models' very beginner friendly Sherbourne, is going much better and I'm not that far from starting the rigging. Thanks in no small part to the wealth of tips and general advice available on this site amongst others.
Once Vanguard is complete my plan is to rescue Pickle from the storage box she's currently in and see if I can make it second time lucky for her, then perhaps tackle something a little more ambitious.
Cheers
